björk - where is the line?

the best track off medúlla for me and i think it's mostly how rahzel's vocals was treated, his beatboxing are one big menacing bass and you have björk singing with supressed anger. and on top of that you have broding backups and choirs just adding more menace. it's genius

fiona apple - criminal

i remember this track being quite a hit in 1996, but i wasn't really aware of it or being bothered to care about fiona. ye i dunno what i was on about back in the day, anyhow, it took me over 10 years to know of it mostly due to the mashup of nas' 'the flyest' and this for the tapemasters mixtape of 'hiphop is dead'. what i do remember even back then was the fact that the video was bad, made fiona look skanky & anorectic, something i'm guessing even fiona thinks nowadays.

lazyboy - underwear goes inside the pants

this one is from the other lazyboy i.e. the project of søren rasted (of aqua fame), seems weird to use the same name for a project, also when both of them did almost the similar kind of musics. this one features a fastpaced rant from comedian greg giraldo, quite entertaining and sarcy but it's material you've heard before.

salt tank - rezmorize

the title is a small insight of what this stanners & gates was influenced by when creating this. basicly reworking the rez/cowgirl hook and rocking it to a banging proghousebeat. it's bit of a headscratcher but it's well done.

mariko ide - ~seek~ それが愛かもしれないから

found when bargainbinning like a year ago, same thing with the aon single, did not know anything about it other than it's probably jpop stuff. i did saw a remix by little big bee in the credits and that was reason for cop. about the track, it's a soul-ish jpopper with a nice hook.
